Rise up you Joshua and Calebs
Young men of Gideon stand strong
Davids keep fighting life's Goliaths
The night is dark but it isnt long

Hannah's keep praying
Elizabeth's raise up your sons
Ester's it's time to realize
You are the chosen ones

Preaching on young Pauls
Lead the army King Saul's
Never bow down hebrew boys
Dance before the ark Davids
Praise and express your joy

Miriam's lead the choir
Martha's cook and clean
Rahab's change your ways
Ruth's continue to glean

Share the gospel disciples
Stand fast through the trials
For such a time as this you were trained
And with God's help you'll not fail

Rise up you chosen generation
It'll take prayer and dedication
Set your eyes on the prize
Strengthen your spiritual eyes

Now is our time!
Mountains must be moved
Strongholds must crumble
Our armour must be proved

Rise up O Zion
Hear the call go forth today
Rise up children of the kingdom
Do not forsake the way!!

No Light

Just a quick thought with a rhyme. Yes I know it has a Dr. Suess flow to it. HAHA. You might have to read it twice to comprehend it. I wrote it and I still have to read it through twice. Well enjoy!! What if there was no light? There’d be no wrong then, right? And if there’s no wrong then there’s no right. And where there’s no right there can’t be light. And without the light we have no sight. The whole world is dark as night. So if there’s no me and there’s no you doing what God has called us to do. Then there’s no light, no wrong, no right. In essence there is no fight. So be the light you’re called to be. The kind that helps the blind to see. 8/16/14

The Meaning in the Name

You're probably wondering why I chose the name Talent Unburied . I believe that God has given me the talent of poetry.  It dawned on me recently that by not sharing the fruit of my gift I am burying it in the ground so to speak. Like the story in the bible of the mean given talents to invest, I was to you this talent for the glory of my king. So I created this blog so I can share with you the words I am inspired to write. I dont want to bury my talent and have the master displeased with me. So please read, enjoy, and be sure to comment!
